David Taylor

David qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and joined Paul Berg in partnership in 1987. David has a strong commitment to the profession and to the firm. He fights hard for our clients and to raise professional standards and the levels of service within the firm. He has a strong desire to help our clients achieve their preferred outcome who turn to him for his expertise and professional approach. David is the partner in charge of our Commercial, Commercial Property and Private Client departments having gained considerable experience in all property related matters company and business sales and acquisitions and complex trust matters.

Paul Berg

Paul has practiced in Harpenden since 1987, specialising in residential conveyancing. He has dealt with all manner of properties and related matters in the town, has very considerable experience in local covenant issues and knows the area well and also the individuals who are in the town and its businesses. He has acted for all manner of clients in and around Harpenden since the firm was established and is a strong believer in personal client service and that our clients “matter”. Paul is the partner in charge of our Residential Conveyancing department and deals with our clients requiring Lasting Powers of Attorney. Away from the office Paul is a keen golfer and long time supporter of Peterborough United Football Club.

Tricia Merrett

Tricia is qualified as a Legal Executive having specialised in contract law, landlord and tenant and property law and residential conveyancing practice. She has worked with Paul Berg & Taylor since 2009 and has some 30 years’ knowledge and experience of all property matters including complex planning issues and new property sales. Tricia enjoys her contact with clients and the challenges that the job entails. She has developed extraordinarily good relations with many of our clients who know they can rely on her. Outside of work, Tricia participates in all manner of family life.
